Rates

We negotiate our rates and fees after analyzing your specific needs and the project schedule. We may work on either a flat fee or an hourly basis, depending on your preference and on the project requirements. In some cases (generally, smaller jobs for new clients) we may require a retainer fee, but in most cases our work will be billable when the product is delivered, or, in the case of larger projects, as interim deliverables are produced.

The following sample rates are provided for your general information.

Business and Technical Writing: Original, easy-to-read and interesting text based on resource materials or expert sources that you provide. $75/hr

Publications Design: Professional, eye-catching publications design that reflects your organization's style. $75/hr

Illustration: Spot illustration, cover art, or other professional artwork that will enhance the visual appeal of your publication or exhibit and get your message across. $75/hr

Proofreading: Correction of spelling and grammar errors in text that you supply. $35/hr

Copyediting: In addition to proofreading, the copy editor assures stylistic consistency. $45/hr

Substantive Editing: In addition to proofreading and copyediting, the substantive editor restructures and develops your text to assure a concise, well-written and professionally edited document. $60/hr

Video Editing: Editing your video footage into a professional production. $75/hr for producer, plus $110/hr for rental of non-linear editing facility.

Video Shooting: A professional camera and sound crew, on-site, to capture your event on BetaCam. $975/day/ $500 half-day
